About Jack's Migration Camp

Jack’s Camp is closing for refurbishment from 1 October 2019 and 30 April 2020. Between 16 October 2019 to 15 April 2020, Jack’s Migration Camp will be open just down the road on the same palm-clad island on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Jack's Migration Camp will only have 8 tents, but the main area will be similar to the original, complete with plenty of comfy seating areas, a small library, well-stocked drinks cabinet and the infamous Natural History Museum cabinet. The camp will also have a swimming pool with a shaded, chill-out area. Guests can explore the vast salt pans by quad bike, on foot or in a vehicle and the seasons play an important part as to the diversity of game that can be seen. Jack’s Camp will re-open, refreshed and rebuilt, on 1 May 2020.

The impact of your stay

Jack's Migration Camp is owned by Natural Selection which is dedicated to conservation, partnering with local communities, governments, and organizations to protect and expand conservation areas. They build eco-friendly camps that blend into the environment and aim to inform guests about Africa's wildlife challenges and successes, hoping to inspire further positive action for wildlife conservation. A contribution of $50 per guest, which is included in the nightly rate, goes towards the above goals.
