About Okavango Expeditions: The Great North Road Southbound
Begin your mobile tented safari adventure in Chobe National Park, famous for its abundance of elephants concentrated along the riverfront, and huge herds of Buffalo spread out on the plains. Enjoy a sunset cruise on the river on one of your last days, as you sip G and T's and watch the sun dip on your mobile safari adventure.
The next part of your tented adventure takes you to the Savuti, where a dramatic combination of marsh and hills and rivers make for amazing game drives in a wildlife-rich habitat. If you are persistent, you might spot a leopard on the river, as this area is prime habitat for these enigmatic cats.
The team packs up and moves on to the Khwai area of Moremi Game Reserve, situated in the eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. This is a reserve made up of dry grassland and mopane scrub (keep an eye out for rare wild dogs).
The last leg of your safari takes you to Xakanaxa, a mosaic of pans, grasslands, forests and lagoons providing an extremely rich and diverse habitat in which a multitude of animals and birds flourish. Experience the massive pods of hippos and herds of elephants that live in this wetland paradise.
