About Raffles Resort Praslin

A true island paradise with everything you could possibly ask for.
Set amongst 40 acres of lush, tropical gardens on the north-eastern coast of Praslin, Raffles is a sprawling resort with plentiful amenities including the largest pool in the Seychelles. Buggies are ready and waiting to whisk you around the property, whether you fancy heading to the bar for a signature Danzil Praslin Sling or down to the beach for a day of diving at nearby reefs. There are 86 villas (the smallest of which still occupies an enormous 125 square metres of space!), all decorated in a fresh, understated style. The service is certifiably exceptional and despite the resort's size, you'll be made to feel like their only guests.

Property details

The property

Each celebrating the natural beauty of their surroundings, there is a variety of restaurants and lounges to frequent. A continent-spanning buffet breakfast is served at the flagship spot, Losean, which enjoys beautiful views of nearby Curieuse Island, while Pan-Asian cuisine dominates the menu at Curieuse Restaurant, which spills into the beautiful gardens. The spa has 13 treatment pavilions – with seaside views or tucked into the trees – as well as gorgeous pool, steam room and yoga pavilion.

The rooms

Sitting amidst endless layers of greenery, each villa is equipped with a king-sized bed, dressing room, indoor and outdoor shower, and huge soaking tub beneath picture windows that reveal the striking ocean view. They all boast an outdoor pavilion and plunge pool where you can while away many hours in perfect privacy. The largest of all is the two-bedroom Royal Beachfront Villa, which also has a living and dining room, as well as 24-hour butler service. The rooms are given added colour by Seychellois artwork made by renowned local artist, Sheila Markham.

Activities

When you're not basking by the infinity pool, there is plenty to keep you occupied. All non-motorised water sports are complimentary and other excursions can be organised by the resort. There are diving trips off neighbouring islands, excursions into the Vallée de Mai, famous for its giant coco de mer palms and endangered black parrots, and visits to the Aldabra giant tortoise sanctuary. For the ultimate view, take to the skies on a scenic helicopter flight with the Seychelles laid out below. There's also a fantastic kid's club to keep the little ones engaged!
