The property

After arriving to traditional music and a cascade of petals as you walk up the staircase, Samode doesn't disappoint. Enjoy divine treatments at the spa before a good soak in the the rooftop infinity pool, a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the vistas of the magnificent Aravali Range. Tuck into Royal Indian delicacies or international cuisine at Samode's two restaurants, both with a lovely elegant feel and eclectic decor. You can't stay at this palace without exploring opulent rooms like Samode's glittering Hall of Mirrors and fascinating hallways covered in ancient frescoes.

The rooms

Across the palace, you'll find a selection of Deluxe rooms and suites, as well as the exquisite Royal Suites. Rooms are decked out with four-poster beds draped with sheer fabric, warm wooden furnishings and plush rugs. Some rooms also come with a private courtyard complete with cushy furnishings, giving a real feel for the palace's classic Rajasthan architecture. Each room has a TV, aircon, minibar and an idyllic mountain view. The en-suite bathrooms are pristine and come with lovely large mirrors and tubs!

Activities

Samode is a vibrant village on the hillside with plenty to explore including the Main Bazaar, the perfect place to pick up handicrafts. Step out the front door and straight onto a scenic circuit of nearby forts including the amazing Samode Fort, where you'll find intricate murals and a stellar view. Stroll through the tranquil Samode Bagh, a garden built over 20 acres with rows of flowing fountains and lovely terraces. If you're feeling more adventurous, horse and camel safaris and visits to the sand dunes can be arranged.
