About The Oberoi Rajvilas

Romantic architecture, sumptuous rooms and an eye for the finer things in life.
Laid out over 32 acres of landscaped gardens, The Oberoi Rajvilas is its very own city of peach - like an oasis in the Rajasthan desert. There's plenty to keep you occupied, beginning with an Indian wine tasting where you'll enjoy a tour of India's vineyards via your tastebuds - and learn a little about how to match wines with your meals. Enjoy high tea at Naila Fort as the landscape is lit up by a technicolour sunset. Around 80 strutting peacocks and a plethora of other birds fill the air with song and add even more colour to this spectacular spot.

Property details

The property

Surrounded by tranquil reflection pools, The Oberoi Rajvilas has the distinct look of a castle. The large and inviting pool comes complete with banana-yellow loungers and tassled umbrellas. Take your pick from the hotel's many dining options including a variety of dishes in the sunlit courtyard, specialty Indian cuisine at the Raj Mahal and the Rajwada Library Bar with its cosy marble fireplace - just right for an after-dinner drink, or nighttime read. For a welcome dose of relaxation, The Oberoi Spa offers a range of deeply rejuvinating treatments from East to West.

The rooms

Spread across the sprawling grounds dotted with trees, there are a variety of rooms to choose from. From their premium options with canopied four-poster beds and sunken marble bathtubs to the quite unexpected luxury tents, inspired by the desert adventures in grand caravans. As you might have guessed, these aren't your regular tents as they come with king size beds, rich textiles and lush bathrooms. To finish off, The Oberoi's luxury villas are decked out with an idyllic private pool, dining area and a personal butler.

Activities

Apart from the numerous on-site activities including a miniature painting demo and yoga in the tree-lined gardens, you can also take your pick from the hotel's one, two or three-day customised itineraries. Discover Jaipur's tapestry of historic and cultural delights including the Ravalli Range's multiple forts - offering the ultimate birds-eye-view over the Pink City. The City Palace is, of course, a major feature with its burnished latticework and labyrinth of gardens. If you'd like to venture out on your own, there's plenty to discover along Jaipur's storied streets.
