What to do in Trincomalee

Following an untouched stretch of sand up the east coast of Sri Lanka, you'll come across the quaint and quiet village of Trincomalee. You'll have your pick of beaches, from idyllic to the truly wild, where you can enjoy swimming and surfing in the temperate water. Delve below the surface in Pigeon Island National Park where a colourful array of marine life dwells. If you fancy seeing larger creatures of the deep, enjoy a whale watching boat trip (in the right season). On the other hand, you could head inland to explore the forests on foot or bicycle, and visit vivid Hindu temples on and around Swami Rock.
