Jonty couldn't have been more of a pleasure to work with! We wanted to try and plan a VERY last minute safari experience from Cape Town, during the busiest time of the year and he quickly managed to put together a couple of awesome options for us. It was then no trouble when we then had to change our dates and he sorted all the travel seamlessly, liaised with the lodge on our behalf and we ended up with the most perfect safari experience, with zero stress or hassle to us! We went to Lion Sands Narina Lodge, I've been lucky to have done many safaris, mainly in Kenya, but this was my husband's first time and it was the best game I've certainly ever seen!! I'd stressed to Jonty big cats were out priority and he'd therefore suggested this lodge accordingly - we saw the big five on one very special and memorable game drive!! The staff honestly couldn't have been more awesome, they spoilt us to a special riverside sundowner surprise experience for our anniversary and a special dinner after. Our room was gorgeous, the food delicious (extremely accommodating about out various dietary restrictions - we still talk about their incredible homemade gluten free bread!!) It was truly a faultless and magical trip from start to finish. Extremely grateful.

Jeffi was spot-on with recommendations. She was informative and very helpful as we created my itinerary together. She provided much-needed advice to help make my trip the best within the time limits I had.

We had a fantastic vacation. Jonty was able to hear our desires and make it work. He never made it feel that the timing was too tight or we were making poor decisions or we needed to expand out budget. The reservations that were made far exceeded my expectations and Jonty was there even Christmas day when I didn't have my flight information even though I just hadn't looked hard enough. This was one of my best trips to date and I have already referred a friend to contact Timbuktu.

This is our second trip with Timbuktu. The process of designing a trip is all part of the fun. I love getting suggestions, choosing between accommodation and working out together how it is possible to fit in everything we want to do. Pick ups, transfers, and guides are always the most professional. I highly recommend using Timbuktu. We have had to absolutely amazing holidays.

Catherine was amazing - she helped us create the perfect trip from start to finish, and we absolutely could not have done it without her. We are so grateful and are already booking another trip with her :)

Timbuktu and our agent, Kristin, Jessup, were amazing. This was our June 2020 trip and had to be rescheduled 4 different times. Kristin was there to answer all of our questions about our options in the planning phase as well as support us with all of the rescheduling. While on our vacation, we found the hotels and service to be great all along the way. Every one of our transfers/guides were there and we felt safe the entire time. When we met people along our journey, they were so impressed with our itinerary and asked who we used. We were touting Timbuktu's name as much as we could.

Catherine worked tirelessly to make sure we had the trip of our dreams--and we did! Our group of 12 had a flawless trip to South Africa and Botswana. Couldn't recommend Catherine and her team more!
