The tented main area is shady, with seating for relaxing during the day and a dining area with large tables and directors' chairs. All meals are prepared over the ever-burning fire, even the cakes for teatime. The food options are limited, but what is served is fresh and flavourful, and there's plenty of it. Pre-dinner snacks and drinks are served around the fire, and mealtimes are laid-back and sociable.
Stay in one of five tents, each well-equipped with a comfortable bed (with top-notch duvet and linen), seating, an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet and hot water for your shower supplied via a bucket, and a covered veranda from which to enjoy the surroundings. You're supplied with fresh towels, torches and an emergency alarm (you're unlikely to need it). There's no electricity, so there's no wi-fi or air-conditioning at this Out of Africa destination, although the tents are mosquito-proof.
Morning and afternoon drives with seasoned guides who have a good feel for the bush and take guests really close to the game without venturing off-road; private boat cruises on the Chobe River to see and photograph the waterway's animals and birds; watching the animals and little critters from your private veranda; and enjoying the well-executed fusion of tented accommodation and high-end style.
