There's plenty of space for reclining at Inara Camp and there's a host of lounges to choose from, either completely alfresco or shaded and decorated with handwoven lampshades, rattan pouffes and rustic accoutrements. Meals are prepared with ingredients from a local farm and dinner is a set menu of Moroccan delicacies, including scrumptious fish tagine, briouats and ktefa for dessert - a filo creation filled with creme anglaise. Afterwards, the in-house astronomer will take you on a star-filled tour of the sky. Don't expect much wi-fi though.
There are 18 tented suites, all draped in sand-coloured canvas and varying in size and style. All boast a King-size bed, cosy, woven rugs and a bathroom equipped with hot water and orange blossom amenities by Les Sens de Marrakech. The decor is down-to-earth and most items are sourced from local artisans, as well as vintage trunks and lots of bare-wood furnishings. The Emotion tents and Inara Suites have an air cooler, and the latter can accommodate up to four people. Each tent opens onto a private deck, from which you'll enjoy a striking view.
There is endless opportunity for exploring in the Agafay, from super adventurous camel rides and quad bike excursions to buggy trips and meandering walks with a local guide. Along the way, stop for picnics and take in the striking scenery. The Lalla Takerkoust Lake isn't far so a day of swimming and watersports is also possible. Then, there are the gentler pursuits like morning yoga and in-tent massages, or spending hours swapping between your lounger and the pool.
It has to be the gorgeous 'desert lagoon', an eco-designed pool that blends into a small beach.
The Explorer Tents can be booked exclusively for larger groups, and although they are simpler in design, you'll have a private dining area and access to the infinity pool.
Many activities at Inara come at an extra cost so be sure to factor that into your budget - and that includes the second infinity pool.
