About Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

An extravagant palace that offers unpretentious luxury and heavenly comfort.
Looking like something out of an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, the luxurious Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt sits right on the most iconic avenue of the famed Recoleta neighbourhood. Surrounded by boutiques, exquisite cafés and trendy galleries, this not-so-little gem offers the ideal respite from the urban hustle and bustle. The two-building complex - which spans a Belle Époque mansion and a contemporary building - is surrounded by lush, peaceful gardens, and features a dreamy pool, renowned spa, three fabulous restaurants, a flower boutique… and the list goes on. If you’ve ever wanted to experience living in a palace, look no further. And don’t worry, the charming staff will make you feel right at home.

Property details

The property

Decor in the hotel (or should we say palace?) is all about classic elegance with a modern twist - and the perfectly-manicured gardens are beautiful. A peaceful library beckons for some quiet time, while the impressive private art collection and gallery with rotating exhibitions are a treat for art enthusiasts. When it comes to food, the options are (almost) endless: a lavish buffet breakfast takes place at Piano Noble Salon, whilst Gioia serves innovative botanical cuisine, Duhau showcases local dishes and wines, and the Oak Room bar is the place to be for winding down with a signature cocktail.

The rooms

The hotel has 165 rooms, including 38 suites and 23 guest rooms located in the Palace Building. Somewhat minimalist in style, the neutral colour palette is soothing and serene, as are the super spacious marble bathrooms, complete with large bathtubs. All rooms have a balcony with either city or garden views. The contemporary building offers four suite types, all of which have separate living rooms, whilst the Palace’s 23 stunning guest rooms include six of the most luxurious suites on offer (think lavish living rooms and dining room for eight!) and you get your own butler, of course.

Activities

Hungry for a local experience? Book a wine and cheese tasting at the Duhau Restaurant and have the maître fromager and sommelier pick out the best Argentinian wines and a selection of artisanal cheeses. If you’re in the mood for art, schedule a tour with one of the resident Art Ambassadors and learn about the hotel's impressive collection of Ibero-American work, or peruse the exhibition of contemporary local art in the Paseo de las Artes Duhau. When it comes to R&R, the exclusive Ahin Wellness & Spa offers a long list of treatments, from massages and meditation sessions to your very own bespoke experience. And we haven’t even mentioned all the beautiful spots worth checking out while strolling around Recoleta…

Recoleta is an upscale neighbourhood known for fine dining and luxury accommodation, but if you’re looking to experience the nightlife in Palermo, the bohemian vibe of San Telmo or check out waterfront Puerto Madero, expect a few taxi rides.
