Historic and handsome, Buenos Aires is a city overflowing with Latin flair.
Start with a recommended trip or create one from scratch
In many ways, capital city Buenos Aires is like a little slice of Europe and there's certainly plenty of beautiful architecture to ogle at on a solo or guided stroll. The city overflows with history, including the Casa Rosada where Eva Perón gave her poignant speeches and the famous cemetery where she is entombed - but there's also a fabulous arts scene including a myriad of theatres, outdoor 'galleries' and, of course, the tango. You may just end up getting a lesson in the streets!
Buenos Aires isn’t a city of must-see attractions (although there are some highlights). Instead, you’ll genuinely enjoy just wandering around the unique streets and gorgeous architecture, and stumbling upon memorable experiences.
If you have the time, a visit to the beautiful Tigre Delta is definitely worth the hour drive. And if you’re into sports, head to the suburb of San Isidro to check out a game of polo. You can even have lessons if the mood takes you.
There’s normal time and then there’s Buenos Aires time. Don’t expect the city to be up and bustling by 7am, and get used to having dinner from 9pm onwards. And if you feel like dancing, don’t even think about arriving at the venue before 1am!
