About Jock Safari Lodge

An award-winning lodge and safaris with echoes of age-old adventurers
Jock Safari Lodge nestles in the south-western corner of the Kruger National Park. Named after Jock of the Bushveld, the plucky canine hero from Sir Percy Fitzpatrick's beloved story, this historic establishment was one of the first private lodges built in Kruger. It offers guests the experience of an old-world safari by evoking memories of a bygone era, but also incorporates local Zulu and Shangaan cultures in its decor. With 6,000 hectares of natural landscape, the lodge has exclusive riverbed traversing rights in one of the best areas of the park to see the Big Five.

Walk through the bush with a guide, to see game, birds or poignant Bushmen paintings; learn about the the stars during stargazing sessions or be pampered at the spa. Children are not forgotten – there's an exciting programme created especially for younger visitors.
