Trip of a lifetime...Jenna, the Timbuktu team and their partners made my sister and my's trip to South Africa seamless and memorable. Given a tight window for scheduling a handful of different activities, they were able to give us the full Cape Town, Safari, and wine country experience that perfectly matched our needs. Jenna was able to suggest timelines that allowed us to plan a portion of the trip to see family in Johannesburg before our "tourist vacation" began, giving us the perfect amount of leeway for free time/choice in family activities, and guidance/structure for the rest of the trip. All accommodations were perfectly suited for us with amazing boutique hotels and chalets, and activities carefully planned to ensure we were maximizing our time spent doing the things we wanted for this once in a lifetime trip. Our dietary restrictions and allergies were relayed to all hotels/drivers accordingly and the team was reachable at any time. Overall the most helpful and knowledgable team and we are so grateful for the experience you all gave us!

Working with Millie at Timbuktu was an exceptional experience from start to finish. She customized our itinerary with our specific preferences in mind and was always accessible — communicating via email and accommodating a Zoom call to ensure we felt comfortable with every detail. This was my very first time using a travel agent, and to be honest, I was initially so nervous about handing over total control of our trip to someone else. Timbuktu completely blew us away. I will definitely be using them again! Kristin was incredibly patient with us throughout the entire process. She helped plan our honeymoon with immense attention to detail, crafting it exactly how we wanted. She answered all of our questions with incredible care, always focusing on what was most important to us as a couple. Where Timbuktu really shines is execution. They facilitated all of our travel while we were in Africa, from transfers to bookings, and everything ran like clockwork. Traveling between destinations can be stressful, but our experience was entirely seamless. If you are hesitant about trusting someone else with your dream trip, rest assured you are in the best hands with Timbuktu. They took all the stress out of our honeymoon and left us with nothing but incredible memories. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our trip went without a hitch! Couldn't be happier with the organization of the whole thing. Of course, Meg was fantastic. She gave us so much information up front and spent the time with us to help us figure out what would be best for us and what we really would want to do since it was our first time. I can't say enough about how much we appreciated that as well as how accessible and responsive she was for questions. I think having someone who has been to all the places and really knows how it will be is so helpful to people who have not done a safari before. I definitely would recommend to friends and family to use Timbuktu.
