We had a wonderful experience with Timbuktu. We were planning a trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and spoke to the brilliant Millie Trotter who has created an amazing itinerary for us covering both Lamu and South Africa. Millie made it so easy for us and has found us some amazing looking places. We received VIP service and can’t wait to go. 5 stars!! 👏👏👏👏

Kevin that I worked with listened to what I wanted and presented a trip with the information I gave him. We had to tweak it a couple of times before we settled on the itinerary.

We had an absolutely amazing time! We could not have had a better experience. With some luck on our side, we were able to see a river crossing and the big five. Both amazing experiences! We also enjoyed an amazing balloon ride! Both places that we stayed offered different but equally great accommodations, which we were looking for. Every person was so welcoming and offered service beyond what we would ever expect. We also don’t know if it was luck or planned, but all our game drives ended up being private. This trip feels like it would have been impossible to put together without the help of Timbuktu or at the very least much more difficult and stressful. Overall we had a fantastic time and we would definitely recommend you guys to others looking to travel to Africa!

Referred by a friend to a direct contact, Jonty, who kindly tailored my first safari to my requests. He's been great about answering questions and staying in touch. I'm looking forward to an intimate experience with a family owned lodge, away from large crowds of people, with ample opportunities to quietly watch the beautiful wildlife of ZA.

Kevin and Timbuktu generated a great trip for us. We took 14 flight in 11 days coming and going from Tanzania. We loved the safari and the hot air balloon safari.

Great planning experience so far (we yet have to go). It was a pleaseure discovering and selecting the better options for our travel style together with the Timbuktu team.

Even had an elephant drink from our private pool We loved the lodge, the accommodations. Meals were excellent! Chefs prepared allergy sensitive food for me. Staff was so caring and genuine! Safari game drives were excellent! We saw big 5 and many more! We even had an elephant come get a drink from our private pool! Amazing! Timbuktu planned an amazing trip with all details well thought out! Great communication and advice before our travel! Flawless!
