Tessa and Timbuktu put together a trip of a lifetime for us. The trip moving through South Africa to 3 different safari lodges required planning to move us from lodge to lodge. Tessa pulled that off the transfers went smoothly, We would highly recommend Tessa and Timbuktu.

Timbuktu has such attention to detail and takes all the worry out of finding a driver or guide or restaurant and hotel recommendations. It is a great company to curate wonderful trips.

We have never used a travel third party, but felt it was necessary for our African adventure. Annie our advisor was local and was able to help with our expectations; which was helpful. Timbuktu’s site was helpful and very intuitive in design which made our experience stress free; plus the supporting documents and files have allowed us to organize all our travel essentials like visa, passport, travel insurance, medical, itinerary, etc. very efficient. Thanks, we look forward to our upcoming trip and hopefully awesome support from Timbuktu!!

The trips that they have put together have been great all around! Locations/Lodge and/or Hotels have been perfect. The tours, safaris and community activities not only met my expectations but in most cases exceed them. The folks they work with on the ground are wonderful and are ready to make sure everything is great. Meagan (Africa & SE Asia) & Carola (Sth America, Nth Asia & India) are amazing at getting to know you and tailoring the trip to your specific needs, wants and likes. I would highly recommend talking with them about any trip. Actually working on a few new ones for 2027 & 2028!

Highly responsive - Meagan was always there click of a button. She ensured diverse dietary preference were met - the food was fantastic; Accommodated our last minute travel changes - even gave us a free room night; Made it a special and memorable trip fro all age group - 12 to 80 years; Even worked with my daughter for surprise birthday celebration! I think this is one of those holidays where i feel parts of my heart was left behind with some of the very special animals we saw & also the warmth of the people - the guides and the hosts!

We felt safe the entire trip. Pick ups and drop offs were seamless. Our guides were amazing and very knowledgeable.!
