It was our first time to use Timbuktu and from the first inquiry to the end of the trip, the service we received was exceptional and personal. Timbuktu's website was easy to navigate and I made an inquiry through the website. Timbuktu connected us with Catherine Soares de Melo within a few days of the inquiry and the trip planning progressed soon after. Catherine's experience, knowledge and professionalism gave us complete confidence throughout the planning and the safari itself.

Annie was very helpful in planning our honeymoon. She set us up with great flights and transfers between hotels/lodges and airports. Everyone was very nice and on time. They really made us feel special. The lodges we stayed at were amazing. All with their own charm, the staff were all great and the safaris were amazing. I would recommend anyone to use Timbuktu to plan their trips. They made everything super easy and really reduced our stress with our travel.

We have planned two family trips in Africa with Jonty and team and both have been perfect! Their suggested activities have been fun and we’ve felt safe and well cared for at every turn. We have recommended them to friends and would not hesitate to use them again for another trip to Africa or elsewhere. I always appreciate that Jonty provides detail and information about places we are considering but focuses on what we want to see and do without making strong recommendations. When we’ve asked for specialty things, he has made them happen.

She meets with us (more than once), listens to what we want, gives us sound advice and alleviates any concerns, and then with her team (including Millie), develops the perfect itinerary.
