The staff at Timbuktu always listens to what you really desire to see and do on your trip and makes it happen. They respond to your emails very quickly and do not mind working with you to make any last minute changes. They always give you a detailed outline of your trip before you go and make sure you have all the important information on hand.

I worked with Tessa on this trip. Through the whole process, I have felt truly taken care of and Tessa a delight to work with. She responded quickly to all my concerns and questions and her breadth of knowledge on South Africa helped shape the kind of trip I wanted to achieve. I normally plan my trips, but I felt this was an entirely different world (which for me it is) and to have someone like Tessa handle things so beautifully was a gift. Having drivers and guides was a wonderful luxury. The safari lodge, staff, food, drives, etc. were incredible. The staff went above and beyond and the food was plentiful and delicious. All our other hotels were top notch and again the staff and service impeccable. The people of South Africa are some of the nicest in the world. I will highly recommend Tessa and Timbuktu to everyone I can. Thank you again, and hopefully I can use them in the near future. Much gratitude and appreciation.

Timbuktu arranged for our 30th wedding anniversary holiday in Egypt - it was brilliant! The service is absolutely fantastic and faultless from start to finish. They worked very hard to tailor the holiday and to build in high quality places to stay and a very bespoke set of tours (with our own tour guide). Faultless, flawless, fantastic.

Jeffi planned our entire trip, through 3 different locations, based on our rough request for what we were looking for. Any questions we had were immediately addressed and briefing packs were comprehensive. All the arrangements went without the slightest hitch throughout the holiday, with complicated transfers all handled in the background without us having to do anything other than turn up on time. We'll be recommending both &Beyond and Timbuktu to others.

We had a fantastic experience with Jenna planning our honeymoon trip to Egypt and Kenya. Jenna was patient with us and provided many different options for us. She was responsive to our emails, and was always there to provide alternatives or make changes as needed. We had the best time on our honeymoon and didn't need to think about much since it was all taken care of! We had an incredible time and can't wait to book our next trip!

Timbuktu's travel advisers were super helpful! They helped us plan our first trip to southern Africa, and were very responsive to all our questions. Their pricing model was transparent and fair; the local partner that did the on-the-ground work in Namibia was excellent! We would definitely recommend them and use them again!

We had a lovely trip. Great communication throughout and handover to local handler team was seamless. Felt the team had a really good understanding of what we wanted, what we would be willing to pay a premium for, etc. We had an incredible time!

Timbuktu saved our trip due to our connecting flight leaving us in Doha before we even landed. The next flight available out to Nairobi was 24 hours later. Joanna (from Timbuktu) and Otieno (Albatros, third party agency Timbuktu uses once you land in Kenya) was so responsive during the 24 hours we were stuck in Doha in making sure that everything gets rebooked according to the new flight times. I can’t thank them enough for this as I would not have known how to rebook airkenya flights, etc. I recommend going with Timbuktu specifically with Joanna if you want to ensure a smooth travel! I will also never fly with Qatar airlines!!
