Timbuktu did a great job. First they listen to what I wanted and then planned out a phenomenal adventure. The location and quality of the properties where we stayed were great. It was hard to believe that we were on safari. We did not have to worry about anything. Once we stepped off the plane someone was guiding us the whole way. It was worth every penny.

The entire trip was stress free. The guide that we were set up with was great, the lodging was fantastic, the coordination of logistics was very convenient. We NEVER had any concern about next steps of not having to wonder where to go, what to do, etc. Joanna frequently checked on us to make sure that all of our needs were met and ensuring that we took care everything or our end in order to be successful.

Very good service. Have the knowledge and tge time to work with you to develop your holiday. Any queries or clarifications were dealt with. Then the companies they use on the actual holiday itself were all great, again friendly and helpful.

I really wanted to have a great trip without having to stress around the details. And I did not want a group trip with all the complexities they offer. Since I was going with my children, I didn't want to have any risk or concerns. This hit the spot. I had to fill in a very brief survey and then had a call with Tessa- my agent from Timbuktu. She really listened to what we like, dislike etc and built an itinerary with options for us to choose from. Her suggestions were spot on and our trip was amazing and stress free. I loved the locations and really appreciated having everything set up including transport between the airport, hotels, tours etc. It made the trip fun and stress free. I'd highly recommend.

We had an amazing honeymoon with TIMBUKTU. The planning stages of the trip were handled extremely well by the Timbuktu team, responding to our emails at lightning speed and keeping us informed and updated about every detail of our trip. This aspect gave us great confidence about the experience that we were going to have in Africa. Uganda is definitely the more rugged of the two countries, but the service provided by Timbuktu was amazing and made Uganda the highlight of our trip. Having Africano, our local guide with us for the entire duration of the trip made us feel comfortable and safe the entire time, which is extremely necessary because Bwindi felt like one of the most remote places we've ever been in the world. This aspect made it feel like a VIP trip, my wife and I were extremely impressed. Everyone in Uganda in the Nkuringo area was very friendly and personable, even the armed guards that accompanied us both days were fun and chatty. The park ranger guides during the gorilla trek were also very enthusiastic and made us feel special, which is impressive because they could have easily just gone through the motions since they lead treks everyday. Everyone was very happy to have us in Uganda, lots of thank you's for our visit. Because of Timbuktu Travel, our experience in Uganda , (a country a bit rough around the edges with regards to infrastructure, poverty etc), felt like a total VIP experience that made our honeymoon extra special. The lodging at Nkuringo Gorilla lodge was fantastic too, great food, location and staff. Kenya was also amazing, the country has better infrastructure and you can tell they are more used to tourists. We had an amazing treatment at Sand River as well! We were lucky enough to see a crossing and a poor zebra get eaten by crocodiles. Our local guide was also great and took us out as much as possible to see as many animals as we could. Our journey was fantastic thanks to your team and the local agencies, and we thank you so much for putting it all together for our wonderful honeymoon package. Timbuktu is actually pretty affordable compared to other comparable companies and the experience that we received felt like an unforgettable VIP one that we will treasure forever. Tessa at Timbuktu was very knowledgeable and responsive during the whole booking process which is exactly what we needed considering the cost of this amazing trip. Their partners on the ground in Tanzania were equally as good and everything went as smooth as it could have done. If we decide to do another safari of any kind we would 100% contact Tessa to help us put it together.

Very helpful and accommodating. We made various changes along the way and it was never too much trouble.
