I found the website helpful for generating ideas. After contacting Timbuktu, Annie quickly provided friendly guidance and plenty of options to develop a tailored itinerary.

I have used Timbuktu travel and Joanna Rigby Jones for several trips. Always responsive and always accommodating. I will use them again and recommend them to others.

We recently used Timbuktu for our trip to Africa - it was extremely last minute but Tessa managed to work her magic!! She managed to secure a fantastic deal, which was cheaper if we had gone through ourselves, and recommended some excellent places. Tessa was patient and really took the time to understand what we needed - even when we didn’t quite know ourselves! The Safari was great and even better knowing Tessa had been there herself so that really helped in our decision making! Will definitely recommend and use again!

Amazing trip planned by the best team. Our group of 5 enjoyed our time in Botswana. Catherine from Timbuktu was very attentive and flexible to work with. Definitely will recommend to anyone that’s planning their dream vacation to Africa .

We had an amazing time on our South African honeymoon planned by Timbuktu. All of our lodgings were incredible and the pre planned logistics made our trip super relaxing while traveling to multiple locations.

Timbuktu did a wonderful job of putting together the perfect trip for my parents and my husband and me to Chile. It was a great mix of seeing some of the highlights of Chile from South to the North. With the hassle free transportation from A to B we were able to experience seeing penguins, hiking Patagonia, eating delicious food during a custom gastronomic experience and relaxing in the desert. As always, they did a fabulous job of listening to what we were hoping to discover and remaining within our budget. I can't rave enough about this company! If you want a custom tailored trip put together to see so many beautiful places in this world, don't think twice about using Timbuktu!

Tessa was fantastic, extremely responsive, did exactly what she promised, listened and worked through options if I wasn't sure. Her accommodation suggestions were spot on and nothing was ever too hard. My experience in the planning was replicated on the ground where the partners were also very good.

Our point of contact, Catherine, has been exceptional in understanding and meeting our requirements. We have had a number of changes to accommodate the requirements of our large tour party and these have managed and addressed in an exemplary manner. The group has also appreciated the detailed information on the venue and activities.
