Kristin was very helpful in setting up our trip to Africa for June 2023. I will let you know how the trip goes after. So far she has been able to offer advice and has responded to all questions in a timely manner. I cannot imagine how much work it would have been for me to to do all the research on my own.

Timbuktu planned an amazing honeymoon for us! We did not have to worry about planning anything. They made our honeymoon stress free! From the moment we landed in Africa, we were greeted by a baggage handler who helped us get from our gate to our connecting flight. All transfers from the airports to the hotels were booked by Timbuktu. They thought of everything! We booked a hot air balloon tour, cage diving experience, and wine tour through Timbuktu. The hotels knew all the details and the transfers picked us up on time and were so easy. We got to see the Big 5 and even had some animals visiting right in front of the hotels. Highly recommend using Timbuktu for your travels. We are already looking into a future trip with them!

Jenna provided helpful insights into planning our family safari vacation since she has been to many of the places we were considering. She was extremely responsive and friendly. We would highly recommend Timbuktu.

Joanna at Timbuktu helped us prepare for such an amazing trip. We knew roughly what we wanted to do, but she helped fill in all the gaps and made it a reality. We were able to highlight so many things that were important to us, and she was always so responsive and helpful. Never once (prior to or during) did we feel unsafe or unprepared. It was truly an experience.

Tessa has been invaluable in her knowledge and suggestions for planning our September 2023 holiday to South Africa. We have 11 days and wanted to make the most of it, and her knowledge of areas and things to do have allowed us to create a trip that will encompass all that we want. From safari to the wine lands and Hermanus whale watching to Cape Town and all that the city has to offer, we could not be more excited for the trip she has helped create. Tessa has taken care of transfers and flights and side trips. We just need to enjoy the ride. I rarely use companies to plan trips, but she has definitely changed my mind. Timbuktu website is so wonderfully creative in showing the adventures, hotels, lodges and what you can experience (not to mention estimated pricing), that it was easy to use them. I am so glad we did. Our trip is planned and deposit made, and now we just have to wait for the adventure to begin. I would highly recommend Tessa and Timbuktu.

This was the first time I worked with Timbuktu and I was very pleased with everything. They are detail oriented and made sure I was completely informed of all of the intricate logistics and details. I previously visited the gorillas in Uganda in 2009 but some 13 years later I was older and worried that I might not be physically able to do the treks. Our Speke guide (local in Uganda) helped to facilitate two fantastic treks and arranged for two porters instead of one and this made all of the difference. I will definitely think of using Timbuktu again.

Catherine and Tessa were so responsive and helpful helping us to arrange our wonderful Namibia itinerary. We made lots of changes and had many questions and they both responded promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend this company.

Timbuktu listened to what we wanted for our vacation and made it happen just as we desired. When we had a major cancelation by United Airlines, Timbuktu stepped in to reschedule everything immediately. They were with us all the way, and our safari wouldn't have been as good without them finding the perfect camps for us. Catherine was especially helpful in caring for us ALL THE WAY.
