Travel and Leisure Worlds Best Awards for number 1 tour operator in the world 2024 and number 2 tour operator in the world 2025
We're one of the World's Best Tour Operators!
Named three years running in Travel+Leisure World's Best, including No.1 in 2024
Postcard-perfect architecture, world-class food and wine and all that unapologetic, effortless glamour.

If ever there was a city that conjured beauty, romance, postcard-perfect architecture and, of course, exquisite food and wine (and some exceptional locations in which to enjoy them both), it’s Paris. Practically speaking, the city is made up of 20 arrondissements (neighbourhoods) that spiral out from the medieval Île de la Cité like one of the country’s infamous escargots. As you walk, each neighbourhood reveals just what makes it special… On the Right Bank of the Seine, once the home of the aristocracy, you’ll find mansion-lined boulevards, the Louvre, trendy galleries and walkable streets in Marais, the Champs Elysees, and in the heart, Montmartre and the gleaming Sacre Couer. On the Left Bank it’s all about the buzzing Latin Quarter and the Sorbonne, chicer-than-chic Saint-Germain-des-Prés and of course, the Eiffel Tower. Choose one, start wandering, and always stay longer than planned.

Things to do

What to do in Paris

Paris rewards you for coming in through the side door. Take the Louvre as a treasure hunt, chasing the riddle of the Mona Lisa past the masterpieces, or have the Palais Garnier's gilded rotunda to yourself after the ushers go home. Sainte-Chapelle, once it closes, is 1,113 stained-glass scenes and nobody's shoulder in your photo. Laminate a croissant properly under a chef's eye, blend a bespoke scent with a Maître-Parfumeur, or rummage Saint-Ouen's antique stalls alongside a professional buyer. The Seine comes by hand-built Venetian motorboat (champagne, obviously), Montmartre by treasure hunt, and the whole city by sidecar, which is thoroughly undignified and all the better for it. Out of town: Monet's water lilies at Giverny, Versailles after dark, horses in the Chantilly forest. Book the after-hours slots first. Everything else will still be there in the morning.

Why you'll love it

Why you'll love it

The Paris of your imagination is, happily, just as good in the flesh… perhaps even better.

Off the beaten track

Off the beaten track

You might know the name Pigalle (or the Moulin Rouge!), but these days the famous district is more well-known for its culinary gems, from classic French fare to modern bistros, speciality foodie shops and artisanal bakeries.

Something to think about

Something to think about

Book tickets for the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and Versailles well in advance as the queues without a reservation can be terrifying. And nobody wants to spend a Paris afternoon in a line!
