Highly recommend using Timbuktu for planning a special vacation experience. Annie and the team were very helpful in answering our many questions and guiding us through the process and getting prepared for the trip. Will be recommending them for friends and family that want to schedule a future Safari or other big adventure.

Brilliant. Tessa’s attention to detail and the fact she listened, really listened ensured we had a dream holiday! It was a dream. Seamless, hassle free, exciting and exceptional. I would definitely recommend Timbuktu they were amazing!

Our experience with Timbuktu was absolutely fabulous. They were so responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process. We decided to go on Safari for our honeymoon and Tessa Dancer helped us find the perfect itinerary as well as helped us modify our trip a couple of times to help keep us within our budget. We would do this same trip start to finish all over again if we could. Thank you to Tessa for helping create one of the most amazing trips we could have asked for, we will recommend Timbuktu to everyone :)

Extraordinary company with excellent client service, a great deal of knowledge, excellent advice and provided us with a seamless experience. They helped us plan a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Lenya and Tanzania with lots of moving parts and they did it to perfection and always with a smile. I highly recommend working with Timbuktu.

Working with Timbuktu on building this trip was fantastic. The travel expert, Jenna, was incredibly responsive. She answered all of the questions I had, and gave excellent tips/suggestions for how to make this trip all the more special. I would recommend Timbuktu to anyone who was interested in setting up a safari in Africa.

Timbuktu was thoughtful and helpful every step of the way, making important recommendations, but also listening carefully. They helped us craft a bespoke, "meet every dream and exceed it" kind of trip. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Our travel agent, Tessa, was just fantastic. Very responsive, listened carefully and offered fantastic suggestions plus she has visited most of these areas personally. Originally didnt think this trip was within budget but we were able to pull it off and I didnt feel like we made any significant tradeoffs, our accomodations were fabulous and the wildlife viewing first rate. The level of detail from Timbuktu regarding our trip was really on point, we were never left guessing. Ability to review various options on their website and "build your own" was a nice way to get started but the personal service from Tessa really rounded out our experience. I wouldnt change a thing.

Jenna made sure that we saw as many of our bucket list destinations as possible for our 13 night safari :) Our itenerary included:Arusha, Serengeti, Rubondo, Manyara, Ngorongoro, and Zanzibar. Had never heard of Rubondo but we checked it out at her recommendation. Ended up being our favorite stop!!

I am so grateful to have stumbled upon Timbuktu travel as I was making travel plans and searching for guidance planning a big trip abroad. We were looking at other travel companies and had gotten a couple of quotes for the safari portion of our trip and for visiting Vic Falls. Timbuktu's prices were so much more reasonable than other companies, and we were so pleased with all of our accommodations, transportation, and flights. Catherine's expertise was invaluable, and she delivered an incredible travel experience from start to finish! She followed through promptly with all communications, and the booking process was seamless. It was so helpful and reassuring to know she had stayed in each of the various accommodations we visited. Having logistics such as car service arranged at each destination allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our experience and time together as a family. Our flight was unexpectedly cancelled by the airline on the front end of the trip, resulting in us arriving in Cape Town two days late. Catherine was so responsive and helpful contacting the hotel and rearranging transportation. She monitored our rebooked flight to ensure we were met at the airport and transported promptly when we finally arrived. Catherine was FANTASTIC, and our full experience with Timbuktu was outstanding.

We are so happy with Timbuktu. I wanted to reserve my review until after the trip and now that we have returned I can wholeheartedly recommend Timbuktu. We travelled to South Africa (Cape Town and Mala Mala Game Reserve near Kruger) and to Zambia/Zimbabwe to see Victoria Falls. All the accommodations, transfers, and tours went smoothly and were great! Joanna was great to work with.
