Partnering with Jonty @ Timbuktu was excellent. While in the past I loved pouring over every detail of a trip -- sometimes time just doesn't allow that. You want to partner with someone who can take care of the busy work -- but live up to your vision of a trip. In addition their web experience is top notch. Lots of great detail easy online exploration tools, "trip building" features etc that I loved using. Kudos to the product team behind these experiences!

My Timbuktu travel specialist, Meg Yash, did an AMAZING job with our Thailand itinerary!. We spent 14 days traveling around to different parts of Thailand. Everything went off without any problems. The Thailand travel partner, Khiri Travel, was amazing as well. As a first timer to Thailand, I had so many questions. I made changes, had worries about my flights, private guides, etc., Meg was patient/efficient and a lovely planner. She was so calming and professional and always returned my messages promptly. Because of Meg, our fist time to Thailand was a beautiful experience. I am still amazed that everywhere we went, we were very well taken care of but not in a pushy, uncomfortable way. I will not hesitate to call on Timbuktu (Meg) for future travel plans.

Tessa was very helpful. She listened to what we wanted and then provided numerous options to consider and worked with us throughout to refine our trip and now we have an amazing journey scheduled - can't wait for the trip!!

Timbuktu curated an outstanding trip to Argentina, leaving us with unforgettable memories. Their personalized approach resulted in a well-rounded itinerary, blending cultural exploration and adventure seamlessly. Accommodations were diverse and reflected the region's character. While there were minor hiccups in transportation scheduling, Timbuktu's quick responsiveness resolved issues promptly. Overall, highly recommend for a memorable and tailored travel experience.

Communication between Us and Timbuktu, and between Timbuktu and local suppliers, was absolutely first rate...fast and ultra-responsive. The entire experience was all about individual attention...I felt like I w2as their only client.

Carola worked with me to create the perfect trip to Chile and Argentina covering desired activities for my husband, 21-year old son, and me. She was incredibly responsive to my many questions and requests before, during and after our trip. I had to plan the trip relatively quickly, and her advice was invaluable.

The service from Jeffi Norris was so thorough especially in scheduling our inter country travel within South Africa. That was a big part of our worry and Jeffi relieved all that tension- now we can focus on the fun !

Our travel agent, Kevin Z., paid attention to the little details that will make this trip a success. Not only did he stay within our budget constraints (a miracle since we weren't giving him a lot to play with) but he also listened to the type of travelers we are and picked lodges and tours to fit us, not just the budget. I have a few physical and medical limitations and he has planned in assistance for me where needed, so thoughtful. The Timbuktu site has some helpful information for preparing to travel, like travel insurance, gratuity amounts and best currency to use, clothing, what to pack, etc. Having this advance knowledge will take the stress out of our trip.
