What can i say about Timbuktu Travels and Specifically Jonty who helped me plan our dream trip. We were planning since Jan 2023 with someone else until May when everything was finalized and they ghosted us for few weeks . We decided to let go of them and i casually connected with Jonty to see what they had to offer. Jonty was so good and informative that i decided to plan my trip with him only and not even shop around and that what exactly happened. Jonty was really very patient and attentive to my needs , wants and requests. He answered every email and also called me every time i needed him to call me so we can talk on the phone. I also love the website and Itinerary planner and how it describes everything about you day to day activities, information on accommodations and description of the area you are visiting. Making payment was super easy and convenient. While on Ground Albertos their ground team in Kenya was very Professional and super nice. They took care of smallest thing for us even though we did not request it or not part of the plan (i.e. - taking care of our lunch after we landed in nairobi from Mara since flight was 3 hour early and we landed at lunch time instead of original plan of landing at 3pm) our drive Raphael was amazing amazing guy. So funny and knowledgeable and i would drive with him any day any where in Kenya. He made the experience well worth it as well and took care of our needs from food, drinks and other requests without any hesitation. Overall it was wonderful dream trip with Timbuktu travel. Expensive a bit but we will gladly travel with them again for our 2025 Tanzania Trip.

I had envisioned an epic family trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and being able to customise it and make it happen thanks to the excellent guidance and advise of Timbuktu travel was truly a dream come true. We were attentively cared for in every step of the way from the planning stages to the return home, and at every extraordinary location in stunning South Africa. From personalised arrangements to seamless execution, every detail was meticulously tailored to perfection. A heartfelt thanks to the incredible Timbuktu team for making our milestone celebration an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait for our next epic adventure!!

It was our second trip with Timbuktu, and everything went flawless, leaving best memories. Great places, lodges, activities, and insane attention to details - we didn’t have to worry about anything. Would definitely plan our next trip with Timbuktu!

My wife and I recently returned from a Safari in Tanzania, which was set up for us by Timbuktu, and specifically Meagan Yash. Meagan was incredible to work with from start to finish. From the first email I sent when starting the planning process to the day I departed, Meagan was there to answer questions, offer guidance, and put our minds at ease for the uncertainties we were facing (as this was our first time going on safari). Meagan exuded patience with us, as we had to alter our plans a bit along the way. She had incredible first-hand experience and knowledge of the safari process; from what to expect in terms of animal interactions, to the more specific details like what times the game rides will take place and appropriate tipping procedures, etc. Literally, she did not miss a detail along the way and took the time to answer every single question. And, I asked a LOT of questions. Once the trip was confirmed and set up, Timbuktu had a great portal that offered a detailed itinerary for our trip as well as loads of helpful information about visas, what to pack, expectations of the African customs, etc. As a result, we were very well repaired and had incredibly realistic expectations for the trip. After the trip was over, I compared the notes Timbuktu & Meagan provided to our actual experience. They were incredibly accurate. Great job Timbuktu & Meagan. You really exceeded our expectations and the trip was incredible. A truly life-changing experience, thanks to your efforts!

The service we received from Timbuktu was outstanding. Everything was arranged for us at every stop. I couldn't have been more impressed with the accommodations, guides and service of everyone involved in our trip, starting with Jeffi. She was so helpful and responsive throughout the planning stage and right up to the end of our trip. Your ground partners, Albatros, went above and beyond as well.

Jenna and Timbuktu team were a tremendous resource while planning our adventure of a lifetime from Cairo to Cape Town. Timbuktu did a great job of planning and executing our trip. They stayed within our budget and we enjoyed every aspect of the trip. The lodges we stayed at all provided outstanding service. Assilia the ground operator did I a fantastic job logistically and their guides and drivers were excellent.

We had a trip of a lifetime to Cape Town and the Eastern Cape (Kwandwe Great Fish Lodge). Tessa was an incredible trip coordinator, especially because we had so many mishaps. We were meant to leave in May, but our flight was canceled twice while we were at the airport. After rescheduling, we had a death in the family, so we had to reschedule again last minute. She was incredibly understanding and with us every step of the way. She coordinated seamlessly with partners and got us everything we wanted for our honeymoon and then some. While our original itinerary had planned for Kruger, she was able to find us an incredible lodge in the Eastern Cape that was somehow even better! Each private tour in Cape Town, from being picked up at the airport to the food tour to the winelands to the Cape of Good Hope were more than we could have imagined. The communication from start to finish during the planning process, during the trip and even afterwards was top notch. I've traveled all over Europe and the Middle East before and never used a travel company, so this was my first time and I will 100% be using Timbuktu again. The ease and care that they put into planning shows!
