I sent out enquiries to multiple companies and Timbuktu Travel were incredibly proactive and, my travel specialist, Katie Fahrland, has been phenomenal! I've bombarded her with questions and suggestions and she's been incredibly patient and answered everything which has resulted in a phenomenal itinerary that I am ridiculously excited for! I couldn't recommend her highly enough!

I had called and looked at several company's for our Africa trip. I sent a text asking questions and got a very fast respond from US rep Katie Fahrland. She made booking my trip so easy. When I had a hard time with computer she called me. She has been a dream to work with. She has made it all so exciting. She had to work hard too. I wanted so many choices and couldn't decide. I was a travel agent for 20 years and ask a lot. She is one of the best I have dealt with! If she is anything like the company she represents than it will be a perfect trip.

Jonty was very patient and accommodating to our changing travel dates. if ever he was unavailable, one of his colleagues was equally as helpful and knowledgeable of the region we were interested in visiting. As novices in Africa, we did not know what we should be doing as tourists but with the guidance from the Timbuktu team I am confident that we will have a great time.

If you are looking to book a safari PLEASE contact Timbuktu!!! Eve and Catherine were SO helpful from figuring out what I wanted to do, when was the best time to go based on what I wanted to see to staying on budget. I am a solo traveler and feel SO comfortable with the trip they have helped me book. Please, Please, Please give them the chance to help you plan a trip of a lifetime!

Catherine at Timbuktu hit the nail on the head! She listened to what we wanted, then made suggestions, and pulled the whole trip off in short order. We decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with spontaneity and exoticness, and she made it happen in less than a month. Everything went very well and we truly had the trip of a lifetime!
