If you are looking to book a safari PLEASE contact Timbuktu!!! Eve and Catherine were SO helpful from figuring out what I wanted to do, when was the best time to go based on what I wanted to see to staying on budget. I am a solo traveler and feel SO comfortable with the trip they have helped me book. Please, Please, Please give them the chance to help you plan a trip of a lifetime!

Catherine at Timbuktu hit the nail on the head! She listened to what we wanted, then made suggestions, and pulled the whole trip off in short order. We decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with spontaneity and exoticness, and she made it happen in less than a month. Everything went very well and we truly had the trip of a lifetime!

Excellent website and easy to navigate booking options. Katie was very helpful and quick to reply through the whole booking process. Even when there was a mix up with pricing of a particular lodge Katie and the team still honored the original quoted price. So far I am pleased with the booking experience and I’ll keep you posted as how the rest of the trip unfold.

A top shelf experience! Did a guided 2 week trip through Ethiopia. Frequent changes in location across the entire nation. Follow through, organization and reliable local connections are the keys to making this kind of trip work. They came through with flying colors! Excellent planning to start the process with people familiar with the locales and the planning needed to pull it off. After arrival, always having guides and driver who were both punctual and knowledgeable. And frankly a reasonably priced trip when compared to a larger escorted trip on the same tier (Road Scholar etc) with more individuality in day to day choices. Thank you Kristin and all the staff at Timbuktu.
