Jonty and his team put a fantastic trip together for us to see Victoria Falls and experience the wildlife in Botswana. Everything was organized by Timbuktu so we had nothing to worry about. Absolutely loved it!

We received excellent service from Jonty Metcalf! Our trip was really well organized, our self-drive went off smoothly and we received excellent restaurant recommendations while in Cape Town!

Katja from Timbuktu helped us plan our first-time safari to Botswana about 10 months before we were meant to go. She was quick, responsive and attentive. They also had the best prices. When an issue arose with luggage not arriving, she and her ground staff helped us resolve it (even though airlines were to blame). The lodges we selected as our first choice exceeded our expectations.The second choice lodges also met our expectations. They handled everything from start to finish and it was very comforting to know we could rely on the itinerary and the details every step of the way. Overall a terrific experience. Would recommend to everyone.

I contacted three different companies regarding traveling to Africa. One company said I was too early to begin the process (I had begun the process two years out, making sure I could secure the popular boutique hotel I wanted as well as understand the cost of what I wanted to do), another got back to me in a few days, but am still waiting for their pricing, while Timbuktu responded immediately and was happy to help, answer my questions, and begin the bookings. I then began working with Joanna, who has been amazing. Her response time is quick, she helped me put together the trip I wanted, listening to my travel experience preferences and budget, and she walked me through the process with the utmost professionalism and wonderful positivity. I would recommend both her and the company in a heartbeat. So, while I'm still waiting on the other companies, I have a complete itinerary and bookings for an exciting experience in Kenya staying at the Giraffe Manor, going on safari, and gorilla trekking in Rwanda. And when I forwarded my trip to some good friends of mine, they were so impressed that they are now joining my husband and I!

We had an idea of where we wanted to travel and Timbuktu made it happen! It was a very easy process from inception to completion. We booked over a year in advance so when our international flights get published, we are looking forward to adding the final piece to the itinerary for Team Africa 2020!!
