We were planning a honeymoon to Kenya and were at a loss until Timbuktu. The platform was incredibly user friendly, and Kristin was a pleasure to work with. She kept up to date with our itinerary and made very help suggestions and improvements to our trip. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we would highly recommend to anyone booking a trip to Africa.

Kat was just so generous with her time and advice. Even when it looked like I wasn't going to book as it was out of my price range she continued to give me advice so that I could book myself. However in the end there was a middle ground and I now have an incredible trip booked which I'm so excited about and really looking forward to. I wouldn't have this without her local knowledge and advice.

I'm so happy I found Timbuktu to help me plan a very quick trip to Kenya and then on to Victoria Falls. Everything Jonty suggested was absolutely perfect and he was very informative and helpful every step of the way.

Joanna Rigby-Jones is great at communicating quickly back and forth and working on getting things just right. She is patient about answering all questions. She's a delight and worked hard to make sure we were getting a good bargain.

From my very first communication with Timbuktu 3 months ago, I have been so impressed with Joanna’s responsiveness, knowledge, information, suggestions and understanding of what we were looking for in a trip to Africa. She listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to achieve it for us. Because of Joanna’s awesome service, I highly recommend Timbuktu .

I promised my son that I would take him any where in the world that he wanted to go for his 16th birthday. I was a bit overwhelmed when he said Kenya!! I did a bunch of online research and ended up connecting with Kat at Timbuktu. She was absolutely wonderful in helping me to craft a trip that achieved what we were looking for. I don't know what I would have done without her!! I didn't know where to even start but Kat asked good questions, provided valuable insights and suggested locations and activities that were absolutely perfect for me and my son. I believe the trip was transformational for my son and that was much to the credit of Kat. I would say that we had the trip of a lifetime!

Joanna was absolutely amazing, and helped us plan every detail of our trip down to the details. She was extremely patient with our questions, and great about suggesting accomodations more suited to our preferences, and was with us every step of the planning experiene. We had planned a relatively last minute safari, and it turned out to be the experience of a lifetime thanks to her hard work and dedication. She truly cares about making sure people have the best time. Jonty Medcalf was also available and very prompt in addressing some issues that we had while in the latter half of our stay in Zanzibar. Timbuktu contracted with Albatros Africa who comprised the ground staff for the safari portion of the trip. Blassy Shiriman was our guide for the entirety of our safari. He was also an absolutely wonderful individual and we had a great time seeing wildlife with him. The staff at all the camps / lodges we stayed at on safari were also excellent. We cannot recommend Timbuktu and Albatros enough, and are happy to count ourselves as return customers as long as stellar people like Joanna and Blassy are there. Thank you all so much!

Jonty was excellent to work with!! Very communicative.. by email & by phone. I think he works around the clock to answer your questions and communicate what is happening with your booking!
