Jack’s Camp is closing for refurbishment from 1 October 2019 and 30 April 2020. Between 16 October 2019 to 15 April 2020, Jack’s Migration Camp will be open just down the road on the same palm-clad island on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Jack's Migration Camp will only have 8 tents, but the main area will be similar to the original, complete with plenty of comfy seating areas, a small library, well-stocked drinks cabinet and the infamous Natural History Museum cabinet. The camp will also have a swimming pool with a shaded, chill-out area. Guests can explore the vast salt pans by quad bike, on foot or in a vehicle and the seasons play an important part as to the diversity of game that can be seen. Jack’s Camp will re-open, refreshed and rebuilt, on 1 May 2020.
