Ashnil Aruba Lodge

Tsavo

|
From $250 per person/night
Great Tsavo East setting, smiling staff and big game appearing as if on cue
Ashnil Aruba overlooks the Aruba Dam in the heart of Tsavo East, one of Kenya's greatest and most popular national parks. Surrounded by vast arid plains, the dam's waters attract large numbers of game, especially elephants, making for good viewing from the lodge. Although it holds a privileged position inside the park, Ashnil Aruba lacks some of the qualities you'd expect from a luxury lodge and, while some might appreciate the added safety, the electric fence surrounding the camp makes it feel less wild. Nevertheless, the staff are welcoming, the game viewing is exciting and the birding is very good.
