Some of my favourite memories have been made while travelling, so helping people create trips that will stay with them forever feels like such an honour. I get genuinely excited for guests about to set off on their adventure because I know they’re going to have the best time.
A: Madagascar! It’s one of those places where you just know you’re in for a real adventure; you have to go in with an open mind, ready to embrace the unexpected. The raw, remote feel, wild landscapes, mix of cultures – it all just really draws me in. I feel like it’s the kind of trip that stays with you long after you’ve left.
A: It has to be one I’ll never forget, which I experienced while working at Kutali Camp in the Lower Zambezi. After a long day, I was walking back to my tent when I noticed a pair of eyes on the path ahead. I quickly realised it was a female leopard. We both froze. I kept my torch on her and held my breath. She eventually moved off and it was only then that I could fully appreciate how incredibly special the experience was.
A: A roll-up backgammon board…Whether you’re lazing on the beach, waiting (impatiently) for food at a restaurant, delayed at the airport, or just enjoying sundowners somewhere dreamy, a quick game of backgammon always improves a situation. Plus, it's light and easy to pack!
